I was born in Perth, Australia, but grew up in the beautiful Tucson, Arizona. I love cooking, biking, hiking, skiing, traveling, a good glass of wine, and helping to educate and inspire people to live their best food-filled, healthy lives!

I completed my Bachelors of Science at the University of Arizona majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics, and a dietetic internship at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson. Tears were shed, sleep was lost, but eventually I passed the exam that gave me those 2 letters behind my name to certify that I am a true expert in my field. I immediately started working at an endocrinology private practice full time where I worked almost exclusively with people with diabetes. This provided me the hours and experience I needed to go on to pass the Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist exam, which is basically a fancy way of saying I'm really knowledgable on all things diabetes (including medications, complications, target numbers, and much more!)
